Windows 10 high disk usage

Whats up ya’ll

i have a lenovo y50-70 touch laptop that is running windows 10 pro 64bit (all factory gear)

it has super high disk usage (100% all the time)

i have readh many forms and people say it is superfetch, windows search, catana etc…

i cant figure it out. i even tried firmware from lenovos website to try and fix the issue.

please advise … thanks

i have been doing CMD (ADMIN) net.exe stop then net.exe start when i start m pc just so i can use it… but ti also have very high ram usage. i have chrome,task manager and CMD open and im using 38% memory.

What is the Lenovo photo app doing?

If you’re not using it uninstall it?

We used to have similar issue. But you would have to know if the HDD is busy for the first 5 min after booting up of all the time (after 5 min).

If its only for the first 5 min, then is superfetch or paging or boot up systems running, Antivirus etc

If it still spins after 10-15min then you will have to see if an application or one application causing other apps to run…including paging file (I would recommend setting min = max).

In your pic, you seem to have issues with the Lenovo Photo master and the antimalware. I can see that you have acrobat distiller, maybe other memory intensive apps are also running ?
