Hi all,
Need your feedback on this. We have two Google Workspace accounts and we want to merge them to have a single account to manage users, domains and etc. Can you provide guidance on how we go about with it. And how much downtime should we expect. Thanks in advance.

When you delete one account, it will ask if you want to move the data (files, emails etc) to another account ?

Hi, I have not started yet. Trying to get some feedback and suggestions to those who have already done it.
Google to Google migrations are the worst. Biggest pain points:
- domain can only exist in one Google environment
- Drive sharing
- Ancillary Google services tied to accounts (Adwords, YouTube, Google My Business, etc)
Pick the domain with the fewer users or less Drive sharing. That is your source environment. Download all users, aliases, and groups. Create those on the destination side. Try to maintain a 1-1 relationship, if it exists on the source, create it on the destination. Run an initial migration (I"d recommend CloudM Migrate.)
Once initial migration is done, buy a new domain name, like sourcedomainOLD.com and add it to the source side as a secondary domain.
When ready for cutover (probably 5-10 minutes of downtime:
As a last step, I’d recommend DELETING all sourcedomainOLD.com accounts from the source. You’ll have 20 days to recover them (might do that every 19 days for a couple of months.) By deleting the accounts, you’ll ensure that old Drive links aren’t being used and you’ll be able to discover Google services that need to be dealt with.
