So I felt I needed to create new profile because I think (about 90% sure) I’m going to lose my job next week. But I won’t lose Spiceworks now, so that’s good. Now carry on with whatever you were doing. I’m just going to be working on my resume. And by resume, I mean Unity .

FYI - it’s actually possible for you to dissociate your Community account from your work account. That way, all your community contributions can follow you rather than remaining tied to your work email.
At this point though, since you’ve already created a new account and have a project already posted, you could consider merging the 2 accounts: http://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/show/2652-how-to-merge-multiple-spiceworks-community-accounts

I changed my community account email to my personal one so I could change jobs. It does mean I don’t get the emails to my company address though.
The software is still setup to use my work email address so all helpdesk notifications and warnings still go to work.

Been there. It’s not a good feeling. You are on the right track. Even if it doesn’t happen, it never hurts to keep your resume up to date.
That’s how I found SpiceWorks. I was looking at the want ads in Craigslist and it was a skills requirement. When our old ticket system wasn’t working well, I recommended SW.

I followed the advice on the link you showed and merged my accounts. Thanks for that! Now, I’m chipotle, don’t have to worry about searching for people I was following, and I can log into spiceworks whenever I feel like it! Gabrielle, you’re awesome!

Thanks for informing, Gabs! :] And glad that you found and used our merge function, Dan. I am sorry to hear about the job. Way to go on getting ahead of things, though!

Good luck with a new job - I know the feeling only too well.
However, stay connected, and stay sane!

Unity’s been pretty interesting. It’s difficult, like learning anything from the start is, but I found it easier to understand than UDK. Some of the reasons I chose Unity was 1) it’s free to use 2) it’s able to make games for multiple platforms 3) the asset store is huge and easy to understand/navigate 4) the community seems to be pretty good. Not Spiceworks good, but good none the less.
