I had the opportunity to drive the Lucid Air Touring for a little more than a week during the holidays, and I can say with confidence that the California-designed and engineered electric luxury sedan passes the Canadian winter test with flying colors.

As part of our visit, Lucid Motors also invited us behind the scenes at its design studio in California, where we got a look at the progress of its upcoming “Mid-Size” EVs.

New details on the longest-range electric car in the US, the Lucid Air Grand Touring, have been revealed. Lucid’s new 2024 Air Grand Touring gains faster charging, a heat pump, and 516 miles range (in more conditions). And you get all that for a 12% discount compared to last year’s model.

Is Hyundai developing a luxury electric sedan? Possibly under the Genesis brand. Hyundai was recently spotted testing a Lucid Air electric sedan in South Korea, suggesting a high-end Hyundai EV could be in the works.

Lucid released a helpful new feature for pet owners called Creature Comfort Mode. The feature is similar to Tesla’s Dog Mode and is now available for free on every Lucid Air through a software update.

With its second all-electric model hitting the market this year, Lucid Motors wants to ensure consumers don’t forget about its flagship sedan – the Air. Having just launched its 2024 Air models a couple of months ago, slashing prices, Lucid has lowered its MSRPs once again, incentivizing potential customers with additional charging and maintenance bonuses as well.

This morning, Lucid Motors shared details of its 2024 model year Air sedans, which are available for sale starting today. While the updates are minimal, Lucid is offering more customization options across its flagship EV, three of which (should) see lower pricing… some at the cost of some performance.

Lucid Motors just announced it is the latest EV automaker to adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS). By integrating the charging standard originated by Tesla, Lucid will eventually be able to offer its customers access to over 15,000 Superchargers in North America alone.

A recent job opportunity on LinkedIn posted by Lucid Motors less than 24 hours ago hints at an incoming new media app infotainment for its EV drivers. According to Lucid’s new role of senior product manager, media partner management, one of the key responsibilities will include working with Apple Music, Amazon Music, and other “media app partners.”

Relatively young EV automaker Lucid Motors has announced a new referral program for current and incoming owners of its flagship Air sedan. The American automaker is still looking to find a larger audience in the growing EV segment and hopes to incentivize buyers with some tiered perks.
