Just a little over a month after the official announcement, we now have an idea of how much the upcoming Xbox-branded ROG Ally handheld consoles may cost. As highlighted in a new report, it appears as though Google Search pulled some results from ASUS’ website and listed the Xbox Ally X and Ally at €899 and €599, respectively. You are looking at the European prices, though they give us a good understanding of how much they could cost in the U.S. market as well. Hit the jump for more details.

Xbox ROG Ally and Ally X prices leak

ASUS is unlikely to do a 1:1 European to U.S. dollar price conversion, but these leaked prices still provide a solid indication of what to expect when the new handhelds launch in the U.S. Since the leaked pricing aligns with the current ROG Ally models available in Europe, it’s reasonable to expect the upcoming devices to be priced similarly to the existing Ally and Ally X in the U.S., which currently retail for $649.99 and $899.99 shipped, respectively. That said, take these leaked prices with a grain of salt – they could just be placeholders until the final pricing is confirmed. Not to mention, there’s no release date set in stone for these new handhelds either, so it might be too early to predict or comment on these leaked prices.

What we do know is that these new handhelds will be up for grabs during the holidays, and they build upon the existing ROG Ally handhelds. Just to give you an idea, the ROG Ally X is going to be the more powerful of the two, complete with a faster chip along with more memory and storage. It’ll even have a relatively bigger battery and have additional ports for better connectivity. It’ll be interesting to see how they’ll stack up in terms of the real-world performance, though.

Microsoft, by the way, is also testing aggregated game libraries with Steam games on the Xbox app, which is likely a move to improve the overall gaming experience on its handhelds. Folks are already testing out the new aggregated library in the Xbox app on Windows via the Insider build, and you can learn more about it in our coverage right here.
