Microsoft has taken to the official Xbox Wire to announce that Gears of War: Reloaded is landing on Xbox, Steam and PlayStation 5 this summer. Reloaded, as the name suggests is a complete remaster of the original Gears game from nearly 20 year ago now, and Xbox is ready to launch it across all platforms (other than Switch 1/2) as well as Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass. 

It’s that time of year and the massive annual Xbox Games Showcase has now been announced. While much of the gaming world awaits news on Switch 2 pre-orders finally go live in North America, Microsoft has taken to the official Xbox Wire to announce this year’s Xbox Games Showcase – it will once again be a double feature starting with the main event followed by a dedicated The Outer Worlds 2 Direct show. As we previously reported, Xbox is set to go live today with a nearly 30-minute showcase of new games, trailers, and updates. While this is not one of its massive showcases, like the one we got over the summer, we have been promised a “no-fluff, all-games broadcast” today loaded with nothing but wall-to-wall games, by the sounds of it. Either way it all starts now and you can follow along with us below the fold. 

It’s been over a few months since Xbox graced us with its “future of gaming” summer showcase, and even longer than that since the last Xbox Partner Preview, but that all changes later this week. Over on the official Xbox Wire, an official announcement for the next Xbox showcase has surfaced some three days before the October Xbox Partner Preview will air around the world. In the latest installment of the ongoing Xbox Partner Preview series, we are set for a “no-fluff, all-games broadcast” come Thursday, October 17, and we will detail what to expect down below. 

We all know Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is set to take center stage this fall on October 25 – check out the latest gameplay showcase here, but the official Xbox Wire just announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is coming to Game Pass on July 24, that’s tomorrow. To get gamers ready for the latest installment in the series, Xbox has now announced COD MW3 will be making its way to Game Pass for Console, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Ultimate in less than 24 hours time. 

While the 2024 Summer Game Fest seemed a far more tame and slightly less exciting event than year’s past, despite some major reveals and patented Keighley world premieres of course, the June gaming events are just starting and next up is Xbox. As we covered previously, Xbox announced its big summer event(s) back at the end of April and that day has now arrived. At the time we correctly guessed the double-feature Xbox is hosting today would be capped off with a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct but that won’t air until after the main event goes live. It all starts today at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET and we will be watching along with you down below. 

The major summer game show schedule is starting to fill out now with confirmation of the big-time Xbox Games Showcase set for June 9, 2024. After Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest was confirmed for June 7 followed by the Ubisoft Forward showcase, Microsoft has now taken to the Xbox Wire to serve up some light details on this year’s double-feature. New special edition South Park Xbox Series X bundles are here, but you’ll have to try to win one. After seeing the new special edition Dune model and the official SpongeBob Xbox Series X console bundle after that, Microsoft has now unveiled its next custom console job in celebration of the release of South Park: Snow Day today. The infamous and beloved animated characters from the show are debuting in their latest console experience starting today, and Microsoft has now revealed these four unique Xbox Series X consoles and matching controllers, each featuring the iconic South Park characters. head below for more details and a closer look.
