Hello Everybody,
We’ve now released the fourth beta build for you to try out. If you want to stay current on all things 3.5-Beta; we urge you to Visit the 3.5 Beta Group and join. We have fixed a number of application crashes as well as some performance issues. This latest build also includes the latest version of (stable) Ruby. This means hundreds of fixes to the “core” of Spiceworks.
We are still working on some random app crashes as well as the timeline and group activities. We would appreciate any testing help you can provide with this build. As usual, add your posts/comments to the beta group (link above) and by joining the group (subscribe) you will see new posts for the beta. If you have not done so, please read through the test plan in the Beta Group and go through those items first.
In addition to the test plan (listed below) please provide feedback on the following areas:
- In-App help call-outs: Please check the text, location, and the items covered. If you suggestions for other things to call out please let us know.
- Timeline: Please check the description, types, and usability. You should look at the timeline widget in the MySpiceworks dashboard, Inventory summary, group summary, and device level timeline views.
- Custom Groups: We’ve changed how custom groups work. Please revisit the creation, editing, and use of this feature and let us know what you think.
- Look for any instability, app errors (internal server errors / 500s). We’re still seeing some of these and we need your help finding and fixing them.
- Please revisit the test plan below for more details. It is important to make sure everything still works.
- Product Keys - Take a look before loading this build at your product keys for Microsoft Products in the software inventory area. We have a new way to gather product keys that “shouldn’t” get flagged by Anti-Virus software. Double check that your keys are still there and they are the “same” as before.
Network Map:(currently slated for early 2009) If you’re interested in getting more involved in the development of this feature join the discussion on the Network map prototype .

16 Spice ups
Im getting a NSIS Error stating that the installer is corrupt or incomplete after downloading from this link. I have tried to download it a few times now from different browsers and different pcs. Any suggestions?
