Auditing PCs remotely

Now that our users have scattered to the four corners of the earth and we are no longer in our offices, is there a way for the Spiceworks IT Asset Management Software to audit PCs without a centralized office? Is there an agent I can deploy?

As long as they are utilizing a VPN, they should still be audited, right? It’s been a while since I’ve used the Spiceworks software so I can’t remember how it polls the endpoints but I would imagine that as long as they’re connected to the network via a VPN that it’d still be able to audit the endpoints.

The asset management can be setup to ping based on IP. So that should work for what you are trying to do.

Thanks. I didn’t mention whether our users are connected via VPN or not (not) so I’m not sure what range of IP I would specify.
