Hello

I am new to spiceworks and loving the software so far but i have a question.

My company has got one server which controls the whole network and then we have multiple offices each with their own server. There are 8 Technicians who provide support to each of these smaller offices with one ‘admin’ account.

The question I have is, is it possible to install spiceworks onto each of the office servers (so it only scans that office to reduce bandwidth usage) yet use one account?

I am asking this as i had to setup an account for spiceworks when i first installed it.

I hope this isn’t too stupid a question and what i have written actually makes sense.

Thanks

Yes. You can use the How-To for the remote data collector to have the remote offices scan themselves and then report all scan data back to a central Spiceworks install.

Thank you for answering so quickly, i have one more question that is sort of related, is it possible to do a similar thing with the helpdesk part of the software. i.e can calls be logged centrally and then passed to the relevant office?
