I have roughly half of my machines reporting no anti-virus, however, these machines do have it installed and AVG is listed as an installed software. The only coincidental thing I can see on these machines all of them have AVG 9.0 installed. I do have others with 9.0 that dont have this issue.

{"@type":"Person
{"@type":"Answer

But I think your first question covers it very well. I can not stand Security Center. Me personally, this was implemented for people who did not know how to manage their PCs. I will have to check, but I do believe they are disabled on these machines. I will have to try this out, but it may seem to be the answer.

{"@type":"Person
elgin8949
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/elgin8949"}},{"@type":"Answer
Try and post back The XP machines I have checked do not have Security Center running. I can at least state that all of my Vista and Win7 machines with AVG installed are not being reported as having Anti-virus. With that said, on the XP machines I can not find any similarities amongst the machines as to stated why it is doing this.

Security Center - Some have it enabled, so do not

-There are machines that are reporting anti-virus but do not have security center enabled.

AVGAgent - (used for remote monitoring through AVGAdmin) - I thought possibly this was allowing machines to be listed, but again, some have it enabled others do not even have it installed.

I work in the medical collections field, I am constantly wiping, adding new systems. I have another one I’m working on right now. I am going to strip it to nothing, no Security Center, No AVG agent. I need a baseline to start from.

I will post when I have some results.

{"@type":"Person
elgin8949
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/elgin8949"}},{"@type":"Answer
Fresh Install - AVG i

Security Center - no running

AVGAgent - not installed

Spiceworks shows no antivirus

{"@type":"Person
elgin8949
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/elgin8949"}},{"@type":"Answer
With security center turn off, it doen not recognize AVG as antivirus.
