I got us on spiceworks cloud helpdesk (loving it btw!) but now I try to tackle the next project: inventory system.<\/p>\n
We currently have none in place. I would love to use the spiceworks online inventory manager but I can find no way to import/upload my csv of existing inventory.<\/p>\n

The Spiceworks Inventory tool must run its own discovery process. It cannot import existing inventory lists. Anything not automatically captured/discovered must be manually added.<\/p>\n
I would very much suggest that you look for alternative tools though. Spiceworks is no longer developing the inventory tool*. There is also a lack of computing resources which cause processing delays. Your first agent download acts as a single computer agent for days before it can be converted to a collection (subnet scanning of multiple remote machines) agent. Plus the information and reporting is very much lacking. While it may be wonderful to have everything on the same ecosystem, in practicality it does give management headaches trying to use the minimal information.<\/p>\n
* As an FYI, I have noticed that development for the Cloud Help Desk has slowed down considerably. While I was on a recent panel to determine its fate, I was not privy to the results.
