This is curious. We have installed and reinstalled Network Monitor in our network. Try as I might, I cannot log into Network Monitor, yet I can log into this Spiceworks community.

My fellow tech can log into Network Monitor with his credentials, but I cannot with mine. I’ve attempted resetting password but so far it has not worked. We are not receiving the reset password e-mails. Nor does using the reset password utility work, which is supposed to reset the password to spiceworks.

I can access our Spiceworks Helpdesk on one computer, where I think my credentials are cached. But not on my main computer where it is asking me to log in. So I think it’s related.

A curious part about the passwords, my password here in the community is one I changed to long ago. For quite some time on our Helpdesk I’ve had to use spiceworks. So actually the passwords aren’t synced.

Any idea what I can do to sync up the passwords, and get them working on both Helpdesk and Network Monitor?

The passwords are not synced between the Community and Spiceworks Applications, update the passwords locally (as they are stored locally) and match it to what you want. As for the emails contact Spiceworks support so they can check if your email is grey/blacklisted.

Actually, you should be able to use your Community credentials in any Spiceworks installation once you are invited to it. Someone who is already an admin in the Spiceworks installation (Desktop or Netmon) needs to invite you to the installation. Otherwise everyone could access everyone else’s installation and that would B.A.D.

It looks like your colleague has tried to invite you to the installation, but the emails are bouncing back to us. Until you authorize through the link in the invite, you won’t be able to access the installation. Check any email protection you may have for an email from info@em.spiceworks.com sent on 2018/04/19.

Looks like emails are still bouncing, as of yesterday. I’ve just manually removed you from the blacklist, so if your colleague removes/re-invites you again the invite email will send again. If it bounces again you will likely get automatically reblacklisted, though.

Let us know if it comes through!
