Hi Will. No one else is able to log in to Network Monitor, but I am under the impression that Network Monitor is separate from the helpdesk software. If that is true, then it makes sense that no one else would be able to sign in, because this is a new instance of the Network Monitor and a new server where no one else has been configured yet.<\/p>\n

Hi Will,<\/p>\n
The Network Monitor has been uninstalled/reinstalled from scratch, which seems to have done the trick. I’m able to get in now. Hi everyone,
Has anyone seen a problem where, when you try to log in to the Network Monitor, it keeps saying incorrect login credentials? I’m using the same credentials as what’s used to get on to the Spiceworks helpdesk portal as an administrator, and the community site here.
Thanks in advance.

If you have both Spiceworks inventory/helpdesk installed on the same server as network monitor or you are using Windows 10 this is likely your issue.
Installing it on windows 10 or alongside helpdesk is not supported or recommended.
It’s interesting you say that. It was installed previously on the same server as the helpdesk server, but I realized the incompatibility afterwards and removed it.
Though, now that it’s been reinstalled on a new server, could there be some odd tie-in between the two yet?

Once removed, and I assume clean installed, no.
The username and password would be the one you used when you downloaded the software.
When I click the option to reset my password, it takes me to https://community.spiceworks.com/start with my logged in user. Kind of odd. I’ve tried using my browser Incognito as well.

If it is a clean install here is what I would try.
Log out of the community, clear your browser cache - or use another browser, download NM again, when asked for details use an existing email, install it, login and you are then free to log back in to the community.
If that doesn’t work I am sure support can help.
One question though, did you uninstall it from the other box or just leave it there?

Let us know what it looks like and if anyone else is able to login. If this is a clean install, then whoever was the first person to login will be the person that needs to log back in and send out invites if you aren’t already invited to the system.

You are right that this is separate from the the Help Desk/Inventory App so users will have to be invited there as well outside of the first person that logs in. If you are not using a community account for that first login, then you will not be able to login. Since this is a new install though, I recommend reinstalling with the latest release from the download link below:
Be sure that during the initial setup on the first time you login that you don’t make any changes to the field “What email should we send app alerts to?” and that the field is the same email address you are signing in as. There is a bug on that and if that is changed you will be locked out.
