I am having an issue with my central server not updating the “Last Scan Time” for devices for several if not all remote sites. If I Disable Remote Site Mode for a site and have it run a scan, the devices show an updated “Last Scan Time” as it should. Now, if I put that site back into Remote Site Mode, that data doesn’t seem to get transmitted back to the central server.

I can access the central server from the remote sites by both unsecure and secure ports at 80/443 respectively. I can access all remote sites, both unsecure and secure ports at 7675/7676 respectively.

Anyone have a clue what could be going on here?

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer

I’d check your logs on the remote site to see if it’s scanning and/or if there’s an error transferring the data back to the central server.

{"@type":"Person
jackie
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/jackie"}},{"@type":"Answer

Which log?

{"@type":"Person
tonydarsey2
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/tonydarsey2"}},{"@type":"Answer

Good question. The production.log will likely reflect the attempt to transfer the information. Scanning has many other logs. Also, if your scans are backing up, you’d see a reschedule message in the production.log.

{"@type":"Person
jackie
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/jackie"}},{"@type":"Answer

Ok, so I’m just now getting back around to this. Sorry it has taken so long. Is the log on the central server or on the remote collector?

{"@type":"Person
tonydarsey
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/tonydarsey"}},{"@type":"Answer

Well I have looked at the production log on one of the remote collectors and the central server and see no evidence or wording or reschedule in it.

{"@type":"Person
tonydarsey
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/tonydarsey"}}]}}
