We are currently using sharepoint online with a “classic” site.

We have a document library, but users are having issues searching it.

For example, if i search for “Expense”, we have a document with the title of “HR - Expense Report” and filename of “HR - Expense Report”

This result shows up on page 2 of the search results, everything on page 1 only has the word “expense” somewhere in the body of the document.

Do we have something configured incorrectly with search? Is there a way to weight the title or file name higher?

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer
