Was hoping you’d be able to help me with a small, confusing thing in Sharepoint Online.
We have a subsite in Sharepoint Online that contains a few document libraries. The goal is to put a search box, search results, and vertical search refiner right on the front of the subsite so people can quickly find what they’re looking for.
The search box and results box work fine, but when I’ve added the individual document libraries to the site navigation to be searchable individually, any time you try to limit your search to one of these libraries it simply opens the library in a new tab and doesn’t search anything.
Searching the top level is fine and will give results, however this isn’t granular enough to be an effective method of getting through the libraries.
Opening in explorer for searching and syncing the library is also fine, but not what I’ve been tasked to work out,.
The libraries are configured to be searchable in their settings.
Any help would be appreciated.
