When I place a PC in storage, I wipe the hard drive. When I run scans/reports in spiceworks the scan/report still shows the software installed on the PC. Is there a way to automatically delete the software inventory once the PC is placed in storage?<\/p>\n

I understand what you are saying, but I don’t think you can do that. The only way SW recognizes software on a device is via the scan. So if there is no scan to the device, there is no update to the software on that device.<\/p>\n

You can manage software on the device through SW, but that attempts to remotely uninstall software. http://community.spiceworks.com/help/Navigating_Inventory#Software<\/a><\/p>\n If it is a computer that you are going to re-purpose, an option would be to just leave it as is and when you do re-purpose it, the new scan will find the most up-to-date info on it. I want to delete the data associated with software installed on the device from Spiceworks’ database.
