Do your vendors all want to connect on LinkedIn?

Dear Vendor, No I will not add you to my LinkedIn Network! This is my professional network, I will not pollute it with cold calling sales jockeys.

So stop asking to join my network. I’m not selling out the people who actually know me.

If I do business with you and we establish a rapport, I’ll invite you… maybe.

That does seem to be a huge trend these days. I feel like I get a LinkedIN invite every time I meet with a new vendor.

I was under the impression that Linkedin had fixed the settings that if you don’t know someone, you can’t add them as a contact. I could be wrong though…obviously.

I’m pretty sure if you pay for the “Premium” LinkedIn service you can add, or at least request to add anyone to your network.

My biggest nit with this is I’ll get a cold-call or cold-email followed immediately by a LinkedIn request.

Sorry, it just doesn’t work like that SaleGuy/Gal.
