SPICE-E BACoN (UDTQ#103) - What holds all the keys?
Happy moon day, folks!
The Recap:
Friday’s question asked about RFC 1216, and more specifically about the quote attributed to ‘Milton John’ within. The answer we were looking for was “are economically viable, have clear applicability, and are technically feasible” but I’m still slightly surprised at how many of you didn’t pick the daily bacon option! If you haven’t read it, check out RFC1216 over here!

The Ramble:
I mentioned last week that my dog, Captain Crunch, was going to get to be in a local parade. I didn’t manage to get any pictures, though, because he was soo scared of the float that he needed both me and his mom holding his hands to stay on it
I did manage to grab a couple snippets from someone else’s photos to share with y’all, though!

We were on the float for probably ~2 hours (between waiting for the rest of the parade, to start, us going through, and then them driving us back to our starting point, which happened to be literally in my front yard somehow so that was nice) and after about 45 minutes he was just tired and didn’t want to stand up anymore… Since the whole point of the float was to see the dogs, I ended up moving from my chair to the floor, so he could lay in my lap and still see the crowds
The employees of the doggie daycare that were “hosting” this float were walking beside it to hand out candy to the children in the crowds, and also made sure all the dogs got plenty of water and treats, too.
Of course, for being a brave boy, he got a big treat and an extra celery stalk (his favorite) when we got home.
The Real Question:
I don’t think I’ve done many questions on the Windows registry yet, so we’re going to try one out today. If it goes well, this might become registry week. We’ll see.
What is the file that holds a tree of registry keys called?
- a Node
- a Hive
- a Namespace
- The Microwave
- I’m not sure, but I’m excited to learn more!
The Microwave might be a long shot, but maybe someone will get the reference?
The Rest:
If you’d like to be notified when there’s a new question, check out this How To guide on following tags! I also typically post in the General chatroom when they go live, so come hang out there too!
As always, if you have suggestions for future questions, improvements, or want to help out with a full question, shoot me a DM or leave a comment below!
And since you’re still reading this, don’t forget to leave me a spice-up just below this! If it’s not orange and filled-in like this →
it’s not spiced up yet! It lets me know you enjoy these and gives us both points, so why not?
