Not bad here so far. Been in about 45 min already and, with the exception of our weekly meeting (oh joy), it’s shaping up to be a smooth sailing day. Sorry yours sucks so badly.
Yeah just to add to it I got turned down for my new job at TWC!

Sounds like someone has a case of the MONDAYS!
I have a pointless lunch meeting today and the dentist tomorrow so I guess it is not as bad as it could be.

Actually pretty good for a Monday. I even had 90 minutes to plan and prepare a job earlier, 90 minutes!!

Mine started yesterday when the email server did not come back online after reboot.
Got it fixed and today I have had a lost security door key, a computer with an ATI driver issue, helping the COO with home compter setup, and oh yeah, I have not had my coffee yet.
sorry to hear your Monday sucks so bad, but at least it makes my day seem just that little bit easier now, so cheers for that :o)

I’ve worked in call centers for over 3 years doing tech support. Even got up to the point where i had my own 30 agent team. Even with the credentials, they turned me down saying i didn’t have the right background. My brother, who had never had a legitimate job in his life, got an interview and was hired within 4 days. F*** TWC.

I feel your pain…
Let me share with you, my week ahead.
My wife is having major surgery on Thursday. Had to pull my 6 year old adopted daughter with HIV/FAS out of school because the school nurse kept “forgetting” to feed her (she is g-tube fed)…which is critical to metabolise her HIV meds and keep her healthy…
…and one of the overnight nurses that cares for our terminally ill (respiratory disease, C.P.) foster child did not wear a mask, had a cold, and now he (foster child) is on 24 hour oxygen… which means he’s getting sick and will likely require a hospital stay… and my wife will be out of commission for at least 5 weeks… sedated likely for 7 days. Why is that important? Medicaid rules state one of has to be with him at the hospital at all times.
I got a bill in the mail that the hospital I took her to when she had pneumonia, bronchitis and the flu… wasn’t in our network and I owe $3200.
I am with you on overwhelmed and to be honest… this day might pale in comparison to days you will have in the future. Take it all in stride, attack one problem at a time and know that despite it being a bad start… you CAN handle this. That’s how I am handling it and honestly it’s all I can do and retain my sanity.
I’m not trying to compare or out-do you on bad Monday mornings… but just know that the best you can do is prioritize and attack. It may not get much better but with your diligence, it will get done.

Feel for you both ( Shawn and Thegillion ). As Shawn mentioned hopefully you can just tackle issues one at a time and dredge through it all.
Tomorrow has to be better no?
May all be well with you and your family. My heart goes out to you.
My monday is generally my fiance’s family day off so we al hang out. Work has been smooth so far.
Yeah a friend of my got a job with TWC and he has no computer/cable back ground!! dont get me wrong he is a good guy.
Im sorry to hear that Shawn. Thanks for the post it does make my day feel better. I wish your family the best!
I’m going to say Shawn wins for worst week thus far, on the plus side he does look like Chris Hanson from dateline NBC.
As for you Gil, I’ve been at work for 2.5 hours already and… I installed an accounting software and looked at our network… I think my Monday is fine, I even got to eat cereal for breakfast.
What is TWC? I keep thinking the water closet… I don’t think you want a job in the bathroom, the gloryhole isn’t what you think it is, there is NO CANDY in there.

I had to troubleshoot an outside user who could not get their phone to work.
Turned out to be a an ID10T error…she punched in the wrong phone number into her phone client. Wasted 15 minutes trying to figure this out with her.
Happy Monday!
The company has outsourced a lot of the support and management of the systems; this morning, there were a couple of network issues and a load of staff had some major issues connecting. Plus, they had also lost some of their data due to the failed network connection.
This was finallt resolved after a couple of hours, but some people didn’t get the message and so didn’t realise it was working; total lost time about 125-175 man hours as a rough estimate.
I feel very frustrated; but there is not a lot I can do. I had a major email discussion with the support team last week and as far as they are concerned, it’s nothing to do with me (I’m only a contractor!)
For those of us on the other side of the pond, it seems really bizarre having to think about paying for hospital treatment.
The NHS is not perfect and I would agree that they don’t always get it right; but at least all we have to worry about is getting better. Of course that is all actually paid for through our taxes & national insurance, so it’s not “free”; but it does make serious illness a little easier to deal with.
Best wishes to you and yours.

Free = crap, I’ve 3 times been sentenced to death by our free clinics here in the US (yes they exist), where as the paid doctors visit has resulted in having surgery multiple times.
Its not free my insurance payment goes to it, at least I get to choose if I want to pay for it or not.
