Man, why can’t stuff like that happen here. I’m in IS so if we lose internet/power there’s a good chance I get to go home!

I thought my morning started poorly… (I forgot my security card which allows me access to IT and my 4th floor dungeon). I feel discombobulated, and out of sorts without it…

Although yours sounds, potentially, much worse!

Just put a sign on the door saying Internet is down, out to lunch, put in a ticket for anything not related to internet or lunch.

Ha, same thing happened to one of our companies clients today.

Happens to us once in a while. :frowning:

Sorry to heart that. That happened to me before at one pf my previous jobs.

Once, when I was working for a cable company, a local construction company had cut our main and two RG temp drops (each a different trouble call). On my 4th visit I ran a new line, orange this time and showed them where it was lying. The two workers, one with a shovel and radio and the other on the backhoe, said OK! As I was beginning to leave I heard the guy on the radio say “Alright, the 3” GAS line is just over here. Work you way around it". I sped off as fast as I could looking for the explosion in my rear view mirror!

Not to mention, it was a Monday also.

I ran updates on our 8 Citrix servers including the update for Adobe Acrobat Reader which brought it to 10.1.2. Of course, this introduced a bug which now crashes the program any time someone prints from it. There’s a hotfix available for it. Guess what I’m doing tonight??

Good times. Off to a great start.
