I hear you, Nothing better than walking in and having all the users greet you with a friendly smile, that’s how you know something is wrong.

Your title is misleading… There is no happy Monday unless it’s one of the 5 days a year that my company lets us have off.

Yup, when the greetings are warm and friendly instead of the usual ignoring your existence… RUN!!! lol

Monday needs a reboot. Go home, go to bed, wake up tomorrow & try again.

My Monday was fine… So far nothing bad happend, even broke a record installing a new printer on our print server… Including both 64 and 32 bit drivers
Plus propagating all our printers via GPO to the right people
So that being said… My last 50 minutes today shall be hell
As Murphy is my witness xD

Well, looking on the bright side, these things are better on a Monday than a Friday/Sat/Sunday?

Lol… BES went down Saturday morning, been on it for much of the weekend with my buddy while I was driving my family over 600km and multiple cities. Groovy…

yes… yes… final destination
few weeks ago, had a lovely week and lovely friday… then, two issues after friday 4:30pm. that’s when i decided to stop using our internal MS Communicator messaging system!
I already stopped answering my landline. If it’s important, they’ll call my cell!
Good thinking! Problem here is that the IT office is in the middle of the building! Everybody walks right in… Can’t really hide

RE: printer success. Glad to hear it. I once had fit hit the shan when I added a 64bit driver to a printer… blew the whole darn print server. all because i wanted to HELP a department by coming in early one morning and manually MOVING a large and underused printer downstairs (literally DOWN THE STAIRS) for them to use to make their lives easier.

And whilst you are up to your elbows inside the server, people will phone you to ask “Is there a problem with the ERP?” every 10 minutes. It doesn’t matter if you’ve put a message up, it’s always easier to call.
Had that once during a major power failure. Had to turn everything off as we had no generator. Kept getting people walking into the office asking if we knew when the computers would be available!
