A contact in Outlook is a person or organization. Outlook saves contact items in the outlook Address Book that provides access to information in the Contacts folder within your Personal Folder(.pst) or if you are using Outlook as a client for Exchange, in the contact folder within your exchange store. In addition Outlook can access information about contacts stored in your Personal Address Book (PAB), a Global Address Book (GAB), or another address book maintained by Exchange.

Export contact from outlook 2007 as vCard file

Using MS outlook you can convert outlook contacts to vcf but only one contact at a time. Following are the Steps for exporting contact as vcf.

Step 1: First select contacts folder and then choose contact you want to save as a vCard

Step 2: Select File then click Save As.

Step 3: In Save As dialogue box, Navigate to folder in which you want to save vCard file.

Step 4: Choose Save As type as vCard file

Step 5: Click Save to save the vCard. To view the VCard file open folder in which you saved it.

Limitation to save contacts to vcard in outlook

• Exporting multiple contacts from outlook as vcard is not possible.
• Exporting outlook contacts to vcard file one by one consumes more time and required more efforts
• Other methods export all contacts as vcf file using various procedure like forwarding contacts as email attachments and dragging or copying from the attachment to your hard disk have some ambiguities. Such saved vCard may not contain complete information of individual.
