Most multiboot disks have a password reset tool. Try Hirens, UBCD or similar.

Googling “windows password reset tool” gives a ton of tools too.

Works if you can get into Windows to start with, but it seems he can’t get in at all. Most probably a personal PC or not on a domain, where problems like these are easily fixed.

I would recommend Hiren’s Boot CD as it comes with many different utilities for both Windows and Linux distributions. I comes with a password reset / account unlock utility. It is a free solution as well.

Hirens disc, use it all the time:

NTPasswd is the tool contained on every UBCD/Hiren’s etc.

This is what you should use.

For those looking for a very powerful boot CD, I’d recommend FalconFour’s UBCD, which is a combination of Hirens and other tools.

TRK Rescue CD. This has worked for me a few times now…
