Some of our hardware inventory is not showing in Spiceworks

There could be any number of reasons for this. Without some information from you it is difficult to diagnose and provide a resolution.

  1. Have you configured WMIC and DCOM per the documentation?

  2. Have you ensured that the ID used by SW to scan has the proper authority on the scanned devices?

  3. What OS’s are involved?

  4. Domian or workgroup?

  5. Is there a specific type of hardware not showing up?

Gonna need some more info there buddy.

  1. What kind of hardware?

  2. What software is running on the hardware if applicable?

  3. What subnets/firewalls/AV are you running?

Yeah, if its your first scan, give it a day or so. It took mine almost 2 whole days to pick up on everything, adn I still had some information that wasn’t pulling completely. Give it some time and make sure that DCOM and WMI is enabled on your network, and that the firewalls are off.
