I get that you’re trying to move everything to the Cloud. But we all know that the Cloud Inventory package is just not there, and not really making motions to get there. So many features of On-Prem are either lacking or impossible with the Cloud version.<\/p>\n
Since you’re giving up on the On-Prem, why not consider open-sourcing it? Let the community work on it. You’re always insisting Spiceworks is all about the Community. The community seems to overwhelmingly want a self-hosted Inventory. If it’s open-source, we could finally get in there and upgrade from SQLite to something more robust and performant.<\/p>\n

(Just as a clarification for people who are new to this… this is about the EOL Legacy Desktop (7.5) product, which included an inventory feature, not the newer Help Desk Server product, which is also “on-prem” but doesn’t have an inventory feature. Inventory Online is the current inventory product, separate from but compatible with our Cloud Help Desk.
