If not, anyone interested in starting one up?

Not sure, but I hear that there is a Lineman’s Union. (you’re old like me if you get that)

I have a great place to meet. We have a 70 seat theater and a bowling alley.

I’d be interested in a Wichita group. I was looking at the Member Map in the Kansas group the other day and wondered why we didn’t have one.

Let’s get this going! If you’re interested, please let me know a preferred place and time for the initial meeting. If you work for a company that has a meeting room we could use that would be great. If not, we have a 70-seat theater we could use but it’s here in Augusta. Everyone could bring a snack and after the meeting, we could catch a video.

Hey guys, I’ve been watching your discussion and I think it is awesome if you put together a Wichita SpiceCorps! I would be glad to help, or just sit back and join if you invited!!

I just got off the phone with Ashley at Spiceworks - I’m going there in April for the Spice University trainer meeting, but while I had her on the phone, I told her I have been watching this conversation and she is excited to help you guys get a SpiceCorps started in Wichita.

Again, let me know if I can come join your first meeting, and if you want help, I will definitely pitch in, but it is your Group and I would love to see it grow!

Bob,

Since you’re basically the third person to chime in on this, your input on a time and place is welcomed.

Thanks!

Here is what I would suggest - contact Nic and ask to create a Wichita group that you can be the Group Admin of - the purpose of that is when users start using Spiceworks in your surrounding area, they will join the group, which will make it easier to communicate with them. Second, you need to send out a message to the Kansas goup inviting them to the SpiceCorps, or to find out what the interest would be. Have you looked at the map to see all the users in your area? quite a few!

I’m in Anthony, an hour from Wichita, so I doubt people would want to drive here. When I lived and worked in Wichita, I was involved in a Microsoft user group and New Horizons hosted the meetings. I don’t think they have an office in Wichita anymore, but maybe another IT training company could host?

Hey Jim, Ashley will send out info as to how the hosting of SpiceCorps will work - they are changing things up a bit this year - I’m going to let her share the details as they are not final yet. But it will be better and bigger for anyone putting together a SpiceCorps - hope you guys get it done, I’ll definitely come to the first meeting!

+1 from the City of Hutchinson, Let me know when and where and I am in too.

I am completely new to this could really benefit from a user group. Not sure what I could possibly contribute except being there. I office in downtown Wichita so doin’t know if that would help anybody. There are conference rooms availble and after hours there is usally plenty of parking in the area.

I just moved to Wichita and would be interested in the user group. Currently looking for an IT position, hopefully one where I can use Spiceworks again.

I’m interested in a Wichita Spiceworks meeting

I’m in Salina, but might be interested in driving to Hutch or Wichita.

I am in Haysville and we have a community building and conference rooms we could possibly use.

All,

I too would love to Join in and assist any way possible I’m about 1.5 hours from Wichita. I Have just started setting up Spiceworks and could benefit greatly from a user group.

Here at Clearwater (school district) I know someone who’d be interested. (Me).

Close to the Nebraska border up here in Phillipsburg, but I’m all for a SpiceCorp Kansas. Somewhere central or Wichita would be my preference.
