HI all,

I’ve been asked to find a way to integrate JIRA with our Spiceworks helpdesk. The method we’re considering is having Spiceworks helpdesk send out token values to JIRA such as the following:

[[Project=DTM]]
[[IssueType=7]]
[[Summary=another nice test]]

Since Spiceworks can already accept tokens, we’d be able to update / modify / close tickets from JIRA by sending back tokens.

Anyone doing something similar or have a better solution for having Spiceworks Helpdesk and JIRA communicate with each other?

Thanks.

Hiya

I don’t think anyone has tried this (by the lack of replies) but there is no reason it wouldn’t work :slight_smile:

Also checkout external alerts http://community.spiceworks.com/help/External_Alerts it may help :slight_smile:

Thanks Andy,

I actually stumbled upon that article the other day. But it looks like that will only handle the incoming data and not help us send out the tokens we need to send Jira.

It’s ok, since this is kind of on hold on our end for now. But if someone had a solution, that would be nice :slight_smile:

Thanks again.
