McAfee DAT Auto download

Hello everyone

I am 2 months into my brand new security engineer role and i have a question about Mcafee EPO which i have been trying to get my head round since then.

I had to rebuild the repository a while back because the DAT pull down would not work, i can now manually pull down the DAT whenever there is a new one available.

My question is - How do i set EPO to auto download the DAT instead of me checking each day to pull down the new one manually?

Years ago, I’d have a ready answer but moved on from them. What I would suggest is logging into your portal and grab the admin guide. The instructions are there and are pretty simple.

I don’t have ePO in front of me at the moment and am certainly no expert, but there is a section where you can schedule “server tasks” (something along those lines). You should be able to refresh the repository (including DATs) on whatever schedule you choose.

I can get you a better answer probably on Monday…

AHH Yes

I found the option for repository pull and have now created the server task and tested it.
