Hello,

Has any one experienced an issue where Spickworks doesn’t grab the Office 2010 standard license the installation was activated with but the same code that is not even part of our current open license agreements

It always grabs this license during the scan, but never the one I used from our Open Liscense agreement to activate. . It makes managing the licensing a real pain in the butt.

please god tell me you didn’t just post your Office 2010 CD key in a public forum if so please remove it for your own safety

It doesn’t work, so it is mostly garbage, but I removed just incase Microsoft was listening lol

I think spiceworks grabs the defaulted KLM key and not the MAK that I eventually use to activate.

No need to panic, it the standard KMS Client key, which is far from being secret.

to the OP, this is normal behaviour if you have an in house KMS server (which would have your correct Key installed)

But I do not operate a KMS server internally.

I run the provided installation suite, open up Word and activate under the help menu using one of the current agreements we have. But spiceworks only ever sees the KMS key not the actual one used during activation.

might be a ‘feature’ which prevents users from running something like Magic JellyBean and thereby obtaining your MAK keys…

(In other words NFI)
