Anyone watch Asteroid City? I watched it this week and still have no idea what I watched.

What are you watching this weekend?

I’ll be watching mostly sports. Golf, Tennis and Football.

Hahahah, Asteroid City came up in discussion at book club last Monday night. Definitely worth the watch for all the best surreal reasons.
Looks like we’re jumping over to the central coast for a break before school starts again for my wife, no movies this weekend!

Will be trying to watch some of the Rugby summer international “friendlies” (read - world cup warm up games)

Probably try and find a decent movie on Netflix, but that’s becoming a rare thing to find!

Been binging old school TV from the 60s like Adam-12 and Hawaii 5-0. Some if it actually ages pretty well, some of it is pretty amusing how much things have changed.

Also, quite by accident found new MST3K episodes - same cast as the Gauntlet era stuff, but new movies. That’ll learn me to keep up with the MST3K forums!

Haven’t watched Asteroid City yet but I need to, I enjoy Wes Anderson quite a bit.

Not sure what I’ll be watching this weekend, though date night is at my house tomorrow so I’m sure we’ll end up watching something.

I also saw Asteroid City in theaters. I didn’t like it at all. It seemed like slow dry humor… Definitely feel flat in my eyes.

I will be watching football as well. Gotta see how the Bucs do. I might watch some shows I have been waiting to come out also

I thinking most likely Baker will start the season as QB1. But I would love to see Trask get his shot if Baker struggles early in the regular season

Was randomly looking at my T-Mobile bill last week and noticed my plan includes free Apple TV+ that I haven’t used in 8 months lol I had seen trailers for some of their shows that looked interesting, so I spent the weekend binging the first season of Foundation. Very interesting and unique show. I should be able to get through season two this week. Then I can get into Invasion.

We discovered two seasons of the original Van der Valk on PBS Passport. These were made around 1990 are more or less faithful to the books. It’s interesting to see square 4:3 aspect ratio with the old Thames TV intro and since it’s 1990 mostly text based computers, and very few cell phones.

We’ve also been watching early seasons of Silent Witness and it’s similarly retro tech.
