Dears,

I have configured the certificates received from GoDaddy, as per the instruction mention in the below thread. However, upon launching Spiceworks doesn’t load with https. Kindly advise if there are any other settings we are missing.

Your quick response is highly appreciated.

Were you using it with SSL before? It’ll do that with a self-signed certificate out of the box. Make sure to check the port (it might be using 9676 instead of 443) as well as the firewall.

This is the first time we are trying to use SSL. We have purchased the certificate from GoDaddy and copied to SSL folder and renamed it. Attached changes made on the config file as mentioned in the thread

Remove the +TLSv1 from the configuration for security purposes, that said, can you access your Spiceworks through your External DNS Name?

We can access Spiceworks from our external dns name “helpdesk.gulfcryo.com” but it will work only with http and not with https

Hi there,

Can you confirm the steps mentioned in the thread I am following to move Spiceworks to https is the right one? Do you suggest any other procedure?

Thanks,

Chandran

Moving to HTTPS is definitely the right move, what I would recommend however is to place the spiceworks server behind an SSL proxy which will make it much easier.

Is the below thread giving the right steps? I need your support here because after following the exact steps still the Spiceworks doesn’t open with https.
