Unsure if anyone else seems to have this problem. When a save a new network map an the name contains spaces and or numbers the save will not complete and fails.

If I rename the map all alpha characters without spaces and numeric digits seems to save perfectly fine.

For future reference, Spiceworks support is a better place to ask these questions, not Spiceworks Engineering. That is primarily for SW employees to post stuff about SW & the services.

Hi Marcus -

I’m sorry you hit an issue with Network Map. Have you tried this in prior versions to 7.3.00050? We haven’t touched Network Map in a couple of years (we debate taking it out, but we haven’t yet because some people do find it useful as it is). I am glad you’ve found a work-around.

Thanks for the quick response. I have used network map for years and surprised to hear it is not a popular feature. I have tested many solutions over the years and although I’m feel it could be enhanced with additional features and options it is still a very useful tool. I have just upgraded to the 50 version today when i noticed the issue it did work 2 revisions back. I hope the decision to retain the feature for mapping is made since it would be a challenge to find another solution not to mention it is nice to have a one stop shop for my tech tools.

Sorry justrob, didnnt realize where i posted. Thats what happens when you are running on lack of sleep and far too many expressos trying to over compinsate. Thanks for relocating.:laughing:
