I can’t seem to get my Network Map to “stay put”.

I open up “all Devices”. I Edit this. I move things into a logical place. I save it.

Next time I open the Saved Map, it’s all jumbled up again.

Just now I spend a good half hour moving items on the Map and it jumped back to the Home screen, obviously NOT saving anything. This is so frustrating on what otherwise would be a great tool.

Any ideas, guys?

Are you saving it with a different name? Do you see the “saving map” message?

Yes to both.

When I tried to open a saved file, I get the whirling circle and it Never loaded.

I’ve just upgrade to the latest version of SW and the saved map loaded instantly. Yay, I thought. It’s even the same as the printout I took. When I tried to edit it, the browser crashed, losing the work, and now won’t load again.

Just trying a registry cleaner (CCleaner) and going to try on a different PC remotely which has a faster processor and more RAM.

Update:

I opened the saved map and successfully and edited it. The Save process went ok i.e. I pressed Save, I chose the map name from the list that I’d just edited, it “whirred” and returned the cursor to me. I though “good-o” and pressed edit again. The part of the map I’d just edited and Saved then reconfigured itself into some random pattern I’d never seen before so I pressed cancel. I tried to open it and it’s back saying “Loading Data” which I know it will never do!

That’s odd. The network map is technically still in beta, and is no longer being developed. If this is a bug that you are seeing, it is not something that will be fixed. I believe the network map will be going away at some point.
