I am using a domain admin account (which is also a member of local admin accounts on each PC) for network scanning, but only one device was successfully scanned - my PC (Which, interestingly, I am logged in to - and I am also a domain administrator…the only other user on the LAN that is).

I tried testing the username in network scan, and I get “check account, password or WMI configuration” - which is really weird, since it’s a domain admin account.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Can the SPW server talk to the machines on ports 7, 135 etc

easiest way if using AD and the default windows firewall on the hosts is via GPO .

Try enabling the default administrator account on a couple of the PC’s. Change the account ID and password and try scanning using those credentials. See if you get different results. If so then I would apply the same to the rest. That’s what worked for me.

Meh, I just removed it from my PC and installed it on a mostly dormant server and it’s working fine…so nevermind!
