For those of you who have been following my posts about my boss at one of my jobs…

…I have awesome news!
I work at Staples (nothing glamorous I know…) and applied for the position of their EasyTech Expert! I got it! It’s a full-time position with guaranteed hours. I have been hoping and praying for this! I get a pay raise and full-time hours. Also, it’s less than 2 miles from my house. Here is a little over 16 each day. So gas savings too! Just wanted to share my excitement with the best community in the world!
Thanks,
A.J.

Congrats! Here’s a timely article…
If it gets you away from a situation that was rough for you, then great. Glad you are seeing more money and less travel.

The position is basically a non-managerial overseeing of the department. It’s helping to motivate the others and sell. You have to help sell and be a selling lead. It’s a position I am perfect for because I am a good tech and just as good a seller. And just as a side note, the owner was just getting upset because my office manager wasn’t “clear” with something she said that she could have been a little clearer with but for 99% of people it would have been fine. Now I’m getting yelled at for not “being clear”. Can’t wait to be gone…

Compared to what I make here to what I’ll make at Staples, and going from three jobs to two, I’ll overall make less but my stress level will be far lower…so worth it!

Good for you there is nothing worse than hating your life because of work, especially when so much time is spent there.

Absolutely, if you think you’ll actually enjoy the job, getting paid a bit less is definitely worth it. I had the same situation when i worked at AT&T, i was a team lead with like 30 employees under me, but the stress was a bit too much. I like my current job a TON more, even though i make a couple bucks less an hour.
