1989 – This was the time of shakeups, Communism in Eastern Europe collapsed and an earthquake would rattle San Francisco, but the music played on. Hair Bands were all the rage and the influence of RAP was growing. Fun times for music from what I remember, though I freely admit I have not heard of some of these artists before.

Highlight from this group of 5, after 19 weeks on the charts and hitting a peak position of lucky 13, Van Halen was slipping off the chart with this hit, but had other songs in the Top 100.

54 Cinderella “The Last Mile”

58 House of Lords “I Wanna Be Loved”

68 Robbie Nevil “Back on Holiday”

80 SaFire “Thinking of You”

89 Van Halen “Finish What Ya Started”

+1 to what @Ecrawf099 said… some great selections!

Luckily, there is also a rock version!

Looks like Nirvana’s Nevermind was on the charts for 1,436 weeks, and G&R Appetite for Destruction for 1,205 weeks! So from those, I’ll pick these as my songs to listen to next… which is hard as both albums :metal: :metal: :metal:

Instead of Teen Spirit, I’ll go with Territorial Pissings.

And My Michelle was near and dear to me for ages:
