Hi Guys,
Just wondering what everyone else uses to store credentials for clients. I’ve used password vault in the past but seeing if there’s an alternative out there with similar features.

At my current place we use Password Safe. It does the job well.

I use KeePass both at home and work.

KeePass v2 is my preferred app. LastPass, @Keeper_Security and Dashlane are also good products to consider.

We use Pleasant Password Server and absolutely love it. Fairly easy to setup. Has a mobile app. Also can be integrated with KeePass and Password Safe. Also like the fact that it was a one time purchase, then we can keep maintenance on it if we want. Really a great product. Also it can use LDAP for easy access.

Thanks for the mention Jimmy T!

I second Dashlane. I’ve been using it for a few years and love it. It syncs between all my devices and integrates well with web browsers.
I’ve used others that were adequate, but Dashlane has been the most reliable, feature rich password manager I have ever used.

Thanks for the LastPass mention, @jimmy-t ! I’m the green gal for LastPass and would love to dig into your needs.
LastPass has two business tiers so you can find the option that best suits your needs. LastPass Teams ($29/user/year) is ideal for smaller teams of less than 50, with a central admin dashboard for user management, out-of-the-box security policies, and secure password sharing. LastPass Enterprise (starting at $48/user/year, discounted at scale) adds more admin functionality with things like Active Directory sync, advanced policies, and group management. Over 27,000 companies use LastPass - and we’re highly rated here in Spiceworks!
Is there specific functionality you’re looking for? Are there specific questions or concerns you have on your mind?
Let me know how I can help further!

Hi Amber,
What I liked about password vault was it enable me to separate my clients into groups. Gave me options to be able to open websites directly from the program and entered their details in without me looking at them.
Is there any youtube videos that can show me what the enterprise version can do.
Thanks
Calvin.

Thanks for the additional details, Calvin! Happy to provide some resources. We do support groups as well in LastPass Enterprise. And yes, you can launch the websites directly from the LastPass vault (what we call our app portal) and it autofills the details without you needing to look at them. It also autofills as you browse, so you could just go straight to the website (not launch out of the LastPass vault) and still have your credentials autofilled for you.
This video shows the admin dashboard at a glance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54bP4ArLf54
Here are other “101” videos that highlight some of our functionality: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsXN_jRonzyf3x69ctvts7twfA5VdM28m
And here’s a more in-depth recorded demo from a recent live webinar: https://youtu.be/nAr-pbJR6vc?list=PLsXN_jRonzyctRhVdPUKGurKUArMEWcIM

Hello!
I read a bunch of these posts and other threads, chose KeePass, and I feel like the day I met my future wife…it’s love at first sight. Holy crap, I wish I had found this years ago (KeePass, not the wife…I met her several decades ago).
I had been keeping an Excel spreadsheet on a Kensington DataTraveler Vault Privacy USB 3.0 flash drive, which worked fine, but KeePass is SO MUCH better. Ten bad attempts to log into the flash drive and it auto-deletes the contents, so I don’t even fear losing the drive…haven’t lost a single one in my life.
My concern is where to store the KeePass database safely. In all my paranoia, I am using the portable version of KeePass and it’s stored on my encrypted Kensington flash drive. I have to lg into the flash drive to get toe the KeePass folder, then run KeePass.
How safe is it to just store the KeePass database on OneDrive for Business?
I know it uses AES 256-bit encryption, but is that REALLY unbreakable?

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but the only time I’ve heard of any exploits, they required the database to be unlocked on the infected computer first. The exploit I speak of was patched.
How safe is it to store KeePass on Onedrive? I would think pretty darn safe. Bad guys have to either get a hold of your Onedrive credentials, or get access to a computer that you have it synched to, AND crack your keepass database / password.
