This was found at a branch location. It’s why I hate letting outside people do installs instead of doing them in-house. I guess they did the best they could with the space they had? I wouldn’t have been ok leaving it like this.

Sadly I’ve seen worse than that and with 3 layers of dust on everything

That is causing me physical pain.

In other news, that old Ademco 612 tape dialer is neat but obsolete. It can probably be pulled to make room .
Now pardon me while I dip my head in bleach to erase the painful image of that mess.

I have seen worse than that.
It was at a place where they were trying to recruit for a new IT Manager. Although I would have done a good job for them, they didn’t offer me the position; I think mostly because the person responsible for the mess was the one recruiting and he didn’t like my obvious disgust at the appalling state of their IT. I wish I had a picture; I’m sure that no-one would believe how bad it was.

“Out of sight, out of mind”. I hate that mantra unless it’s done correctly.

That is definitely bad but I’m sure most of us have seen far worse.

I would definitely trust every one of those rj45 crimps. Right?
Wow man, wow.
So, now what? Yes, we want to see an “after” picture.

Yes, quite sturdy. I think I’m going to stop using patch panels and go this route instead.
