Hi,
I just received a “Proxy Troubleshooter” message (see attached). My understanding is we don’t have/need any Proxy settings. Is this a Spiceworks thing? Also, this could be related to my open issue regarding not being able to add a New User to the admin team. He got a Proxy error message on his end too.
Thanks in advance!
Seth

Hey Seth. Take a look at this post from a little ways back. I think it sums up what you’re seeing nicely:
I am receiving a Proxy error when I open the Spiceworks Desktop. The funny thing is I don't have a Proxy server. Any ideas?

Thanks Matt! The port we are using is 9675/9676. I got AD and Email working, and tested the Portal with and that’s working too. Maybe it was just a fluke message? I’m just still having an issue getting my partner registered after he went through my invitation to join the team and thought they might be related because he got a proxy message too. Maybe related? or separate issue?

The proxy message is more about the app’s ability to talk to the Community. If the app isn’t able to reach the Community servers, it’ll display the proxy message every week or so until it can. The link to the other topic had the list of IPs/Hosts and ports that the app tries to reach out on. You should make sure those are open and available to the Spiceworks host.
