Hello SpiceWorks Community.

Does any public school use spice works for auditing purposes. When the auditors come in and what to know what devices where purchased with grant money, school funds, etc, do you use spice works to produce that report and is it compliant with the auditors.

It could be done, just need to spend alot of time inputting the data and will they need supporting material such as the actual copy of the PO or what ever?

Audit compliantcy is all up to whomever sets up SW… Whomever implements it, needs to work a bunch on adding information regarding PO numbers, ownership information and funding information. Most auditing organizations don’t require a copy of every single PO, but at least a record of the PO number and the department assigned, is important, so that if there is a discrepancy they can request particular documentation from accounting.
