I have an install of Spiceworks version 7.5.00101 inventory on a central server with one remote site sending scan information back to it. I believe most devices are being reached and the discovery is being sent back to the central server as it should. However I am having issues using the central server to manage these devices.

There are a few that I need rescanned as nothing was pulled from them and from my understanding I should be able to rescan these devices from the central server. However, when I go to do that I am getting a “Nope. Didn’t work” error immediately after hitting the scan button. All credentials are correct and the snmp is set up on these devices correctly.

Also, when I go and try to merge duplicate devices from the central server I am getting a “Can’t dedupe remote devices error”.

Welcome to the community!! What OS do you have setup Spiceworks Inventory on? I have no had this issue with my remote sites. I would recommend to reconnect the Central server with the remote site and both be on the same version.

Thank you! Well, I have the remote site running on a windows 10 machine and the central server is running on windows server 2012. They have both been upgraded to the newest version. I just tried setting up the connection again between the two and it proved successful but I am still receiving the same error.

Windows 10 is not supported on Spiceworks Inventory or Remote Collectors

Everything else seems to work just fine. That would explain the issues though. Thank you

Awesome! Glad to help!!
