We’re running Spice 7.4 on our network and are upgrading our network connection to remote sites to a 20 Mb connection.

We’re thinking of setting up some remote sites to cut down on bandwidth traffic for spiceworks scans.

Wanted to know if anyone has made use of remote sites and if they can relate their experience using it, good or bad?

Also we won’t be using mult-helpdesk so we can see that being turned off, however just wanted to know when the remote site reports the results of its scans. Is it right after it finished the scans? Or can we specify a time like at end of day?

EDIT: I have read knowledge base article on remote site setups. Just wanted to hear from users who have implemented it in real world.

Thank you I have read that, but i was wondering if anyone has implemented it themselves.

Many people on here use remote collectors - I don’t as I only use it in a lab and small network at work - but many do here.
