I would like to try and pay to have the ads removed for a month to see if it’s worth the expense. Is this possible and how do I make that happen?

You can register here Free IT Software - Spiceworks Pricing $20 /month so I guess you could sign up for a month to try it.

I’m using a 14" laptop and no external monitors (not an option), the advertisements don’t bother me…I use many of those products and brands…it’s the screen real estate that’s killing me (1/5 of my screen is taken up by banners).

I just paid $30 for June 2011 for “MyWay” (no advertisements).

The confirmation email says simply we’ll have a blank box, no advertisements…so as indicated it sounds like this doesn’t help me at all. I’ll know for sure within 48 hours. Most likely I’ll cancel and go back to the free stuff or find another solution :\

Please post your results, I’d be willing to pay $50 a month just to gain that screen real estate, I wouldn’t even mind if they left the ads just put them elsewhere. That said, I still think it needs to rely on the community less, the other week there was an outage and it made it very difficult to get work done because it really impacted my Spiceworks performance…

The ad space can not be reclaimed; only left blank or replaced with an image of your own.

I know there’s a feature request for this, but the bing engine doesn’t seem to want to find it for me. I would suggest trying to find the existing one, or creating a new one and we’ll eventually get them merged
