Dear All,
I’m a small business MSP.
For about 5years now, I’ve been using Managed Workplace. Excellent product. Good technical support, but poor business support. I pay about $250 USD monthly.
However, quite some time has passed and there are other options on the market.
I manage about 30 nodes. I’m intrested in exploring other RMMs that would serve my needs, but that would cost me less as I am a small business.
Here’s what’s important to me:
-Remote Monitoring and Management of laptops, desktops and servers.
-RMM must have agent based option
-Reporting
-Patch Management Tool
-Supports Scripting.
-Month to Month subscription payment for RMM tool
My basic research shows that at least up to 2015 or 2016, Max Focus, now SolarWinds has packages starting at $50 minimum monthly.
Can you guys make recommendations? Thanks guys

I use Ninja RMM with 10 servers and 50 workstations and its been good so far. Just not fan of Teamviewer they have for remote but doable…they also support scripting if needed.
NinjaRMM also comes with Splashtop as the other option for remote control. Please check it out as Splashtop is better integrated, and also can support multiple concurrent IT session into the same system. I’m here to answer any question.
@Splashtop
I’d recommend Solarwinds N-Able. A buddy of mine uses it for his business as a managed services provider, remote control, patching, scripting, etc. and he gets all the bells and whistles for 2.50/user It even includes plugins to be able to remotely ssh into switches, routers, firewalls, etc. Can’t beat it for the price.

First of all, thanks for the kind words and for your support over the past 5 years. We appreciate it and I’m glad Managed Workplace has been working well for you.
Of course, I am concerned about what you mentioned regarding business support and I want to learn more about this, so I can get you connected with the right folks on my team.
We’ll do everything we can to make things right, and you can also discuss your current cost with our team as well (which sounds like the second issue you’re looking to solve)
Finally, if you have any questions or need support regarding anything at all, please let me know – you can send me a direct message on Spiceworks any time.

Hi OP! My apologies for being late to this thread party.
I wanted to ask if you have considered ConnectWise Automate as a solution? Automate is able to accomplish all of the important factors you listed with solving IT problems before they occur.
Here is more information. Best of luck in your search! Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

Just curious about this. Did you get to choose an RMM?

Hey! I didn’t, but I am seriously open to options. My contract ends in August 2019 so I am only now currently seeking alternatives. I was trying to explore Comodo One, however, this ‘free model’ whilst good for startups may not provide me with the support that a paid MSP does. If it’s one thing Avast has down, it’s the support, now they are run by Baracuda (the MSP part). Recently, AVG/Avast won back my heart guys. They really stepped it up with respect to service. I am now okay. But, I’m open to others still… It’s no longer necessary to buy a manditory 30 or 60 pack license for years. That’s wastage, especially if you’re now growing. However, I’m still open to them, and also looking for more competitive options that can satisfy my needs as well as my growth. I still welcome recommendations!

Thank you for your reply. We are in search for RMM at the moment and are just trying out solutions out there. Didn’t know about Barracuda MSP, i will check them out.
If I may ask, what are the things you like about your current RMM?
Hey @kareembadr4040 and AbeSapien009 did you have a chance to look into ConnectWise Automate ? It really is such a great RMM tool that helps you gain better visibility internally while also helping with remote delivery roadblocks. It features automation, discovery, management, monitoring, and patching. You can also try it for free with a trial, you can get more info on that here . If you have any questions or would like to chat more about it please feel free to message me!
