About a year ago I got an old Samsung CLX-8640ND MFD that works perfectly except that when it boots it stuck with the Samsung logo. I research and found its the firmware/os corrupt and needs to be reloaded. I followed guides online and still unable to get it to work. I’m also unable to reload the firmware from the web interface. As the person that I got it off provided some passwords and they don’t work. And the default one does not work. I don’t want it go to waste as it prints wonderfully. As I can print to it as I can get the IP address from DHCP and able to get to the Web interface.

Thanks in advance

If you can still print, I would suspect that the UI is corrupt. For most Samsung products there is a UI recovery file available. The only one I have does not list this model so not sure if it would be compatible or not. I also have Samsung’s generic instruction file on recovery. Drop me a PM it you want the links to try anyway. Or search around for the UI recovery that lists your model.
