I get the no open ports for thsi device message in the scan error tab, however I can remote in fine. I’m not sure what is missing. I"ve followed instructions here http://community.spiceworks.com/help/configuring_av_firewall_domain

I wasn’t sure how to configure ICMPv4 though. And the additional port/protocol information, I wasn’t sure if I was actually supposed to do anything, or just take note of those protocols.

I don’t know how to close a post, but I got it to work without the firewall on. Now I just have to figure out how to configure the port forwarding and such. Thanks

I don’t think you’ll need port forwarding…

Can you try this command (from the SW repository) on one of the systems?

c:> netsh firewall set service remoteadmin enable

Did that command and I got an OK in response. I still can’t ping the client computer from the SW server though.

Are you trying the FQDN?

I can’t ping any of my systems until I do system.domain.com (or whatever your domain is)…

If you got an OK, then you should try to rescan the system now too…

I fixed it )

I added the SNMP to the firewall rules, now the scans and pings are working.

Great…Enjoy!!
