Current setup is: My central site has all of the tickets and stores inventory. All the remote sites scan and send the data back to the central site. However, I have questions on schedule scanning interactions with a central server and remote sites because it’s not too clear.<\/p>\n
On a remote site it has the following options:<\/p>\n
Default discovery scan starting hour (0 = midnight) (0-23)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Default discovery scan repeat interval (in hours) (1-12)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Enable schedule per network search range<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Enable scheduled scanning<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
If I have #3<\/span> enable, and configure that, does that override 1 and 2 or will 1 and 2 still run?<\/p>\n If I have 4 disabled, will that still run 3 or is that just for 1 and 2?<\/p>\n If I have #3<\/span> enabled, and set the frequency to Daily at… Midnight and choose just 1 day (say Monday), will it still scan Daily or just for the days I check?<\/p>\n With remote sites scanning, and no networks added to the central server, the Network Scan option does nothing, correct?<\/p>\n Reason being we have over a thousand devices and having it scan in the middle of the day brings our ticketing system performance way down, we’d like to optimize it as much as possible.
