Shutdown option Win7

Hi,

I need only to remove the option “shutdown” on all win7 PCs. I need to keep the “restart”. How to do this via gpo.

Why would you want to do this? Seems like it would cause problems.

It’s one way to keep users from shutting down their system when they meant to click Log Off or Restart…plus it keeps the system on for updates or admin access.

I can’t seem to find the option ONLY to turn off “shutdown” option.

Looking again, I’m not sure you can do that. You can disable Shut Down and Restart and then push out a Restart command line to all the Desktops… not quite as nice, but it should do what you need.
