I’m looking for the most straight-forward option for MDM on iOS devices. Our company is hiring field technicians and issuing them iPads.

We are Microsoft shop so Intune might make sense but I’ve struggled to integrate Apple products into Intune (my personal experience) and it seems to me that the Microsoft Management of iOS devices is overly complicated and difficult to configure.

I have also used Meraki’s System Manager, its OK but not the easiest to learn and setting up the org is non-trivial.

Really looking for something that is easy to stand-up (cloud hosted console), learn, and understand. Things like ScaleFusion, ManageEngine, JAMF, might be options. Doesn’t have to be free but I’d like to stay in the $2-4/device/month range. I’d love to hear any experiences or other players that I’m not considering.

I gave IBM’s MaaS360 a look a couple of years ago and it was really good: IBM MaaS360

It’s at the higher end of your budget, but it was very capable. And bonus, it’ll do Android too if you’re needing to support any of those.

Hey! Thought I might chip in and suggest Pulseway MDM.

It’s lightweight and easy to set up. It has zero-touch setup, so devices can be pre-configured and automatically enrolled into MDM the moment they’re powered on with our Apple Business Manager integration.
